We cannot say enough good things about Bold SMAC Designs! Aaron and Chip were both delightful – and lots of fun – to work with. From the very beginning, we had lots of discussions around what we were looking to do, as well as our general ideas for this renovation, including ‘what if we did this’ and ‘maybe we could do that’. When we saw the actual plans and renderings, WOW! Aaron had taken what we had all talked about and turned those ideas into a magnificent space - something even better than we imagined. With construction finally underway, we started working on interior decisions – colors, lighting, hardware, furnishings and such. After getting a feel for our general tastes, overall needs and wants, Chip put together a collection of visual boards for each area that showedpictures with specific design options. It was incredibly helpful to see things all together as it gave us a better feel for the overall look. He also put together detailed spreadsheets with item pricing, so we could keep track of the associated costs. The neatpart though? While reviewing these boards and ideas, there was always a great dialog between us – regarding colors, other options, price points – everything! They were both super flexible and very helpful in making suggestions at every step....not only for items to be purchased, but also for placement of items that we already had or had already purchased. We really felt like we were one team. We also loved that in addition to being very responsive by phone, they both made frequent visits to the house to check on progress or to clarify a decision with the builder and superintendent – making sure that the plans were being followed to deliver what we expected. Their continual involvement along the way sure gave us some peace of mind during a somewhat chaotic pandemic time. We would not hesitate to recommend Aaron and Chip to anyone who is looking to do a renovation or a new build. The value they contributed to our effort was immense and we are so happy with the end result! And best of all? What started out as a business relationship has turned into a nice friendship.
